Goodbye to Lark & Leigh (our Airstream)

For the last year and a half, we were slightly crazy. Our office was in a restored 1976 Airstream Argosy that we named Lark & Leigh. It has a pretty amazing story itself. It involved driving it from Portland to NC with a Uhaul truck. To see all the construction details check out the WEBSITE. We didn't completely finish the journey to turn this Airstream offgrid but it is taking on a new life now. If you want to see it in person, it now lives at Camp North End where it will soon house a new small business. While tiny in stature, the office gave us a chance to think about the impact of each and every decision - from how we heated our water to where each material came from.

Don't be sad. Our tiny home and offgrid journey continues. We sold the Airstream to make way for our new project, Camp Gingercake. Camp Gingercake is a remote tiny cabin in the mountains outside of Cashiers, NC and near the Tuckaseegee River. We are in the process of building a completely offgrid outdoor shower and will be providing more info on our learnings and adventures soon. (We might have saved a few really cool features from the Airstream, too.)
